Article 6: Right of withdrawal and extended return period
Key point: 14-day reflection period (and up to 60 days to return)
You always have a statutory reflection period of 14 days to withdraw without giving reasons. In addition, and on a voluntary basis, REDLAB offers an extended return period of up to 60 days in total after receipt: subject to the additional conditions of article 8. This extra service leaves your statutory right of withdrawal fully intact.
- The consumer has a statutory right of withdrawal: they may terminate the agreement within 14 days without giving reasons. This statutory right cannot be restricted.
- In addition, and on a voluntary basis, the trader offers an extended return period of up to 60 days in total after receipt. For returns from day 15 up to and including day 60, the additional conditions of article 8(6) apply (the product is unused and is returned in its original, undamaged condition and packaging, and the return shipment is insured and at the consumer's expense). This extra period leaves the statutory right of withdrawal under paragraph 1 intact.
- The reflection period starts on the day after the consumer (or a third party designated by them, not the carrier) receives the product. If multiple products in one order are delivered separately, the period starts on the day the last product is received.
- If the trader fails to inform the consumer of the statutory right of withdrawal, the reflection period of paragraph 1 is extended to a maximum of 12 months.
