Measurements & documentation
Every RedLab model has been tested by independent laboratories. Light output was measured with a spectrometer and, for comparison, with a Solarmeter, with the original measurement photos included.

Many brands measure with a Solarmeter. It is calibrated for sunlight and reads higher on LED panels. We show both: the Solarmeter for comparison, the spectrometer for calculating.

Frequently asked questions
Why do other brands state higher values?
Often they measured with a Solarmeter, or right in front of the LED. A Solarmeter is calibrated for sunlight and reads higher on LED panels: on the Pro it gives ±218 mW/cm², the spectrometer 100. We calculate with the spectrometer and always state the measuring method.
How much EMF does the panel emit?
Very little. Right against the panel we measured at most 0.46 µT, at 15 cm 0.00 µT. The European reference value is 100 µT.
Can I see the test reports?
Yes. You can download the declaration of conformity and the measurement report above. We will send you the full test reports on request.
What is the difference between measured and calculated?
Measured means determined with a measuring instrument, such as the light output at 15, 30 and 45 cm. Calculated means derived from those measurements, such as the split between red and NIR in combined mode. The chart shows which of the two each value is.
